Version 1.0. Last updated 17 August 2026. Effective on publication.
This Refund Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and is incorporated into them by reference. Capitalised terms carry the meanings given to them there. It applies to every purchase of a StillOn licence made through the websites operated at thatlev.com and stillon.dev.
All sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, credits, partial refunds or cancellations are offered once a licence key has been issued, whether or not the key has been activated, and whether or not the Software has been installed or used.
A licence is a digital product. It is delivered immediately upon purchase and is fully usable from the moment the key reaches the email address supplied at checkout. Unlike a physical good, it cannot be returned, recovered, or restored to me: once the key exists, the entitlement it confers is permanent, and a single purchase yields a licence that remains usable indefinitely on the terms set out in the Terms of Service.
A free evaluation period is offered before any payment is taken, and it exists for precisely this reason. It allows you to confirm, at no cost and at no risk, that the Software runs on your Mac, that it behaves as you expect, and that it is worth buying, before any money changes hands. Every question a refund would normally answer can be answered during the trial.
You are therefore asked to complete the free evaluation before purchasing. Payment is taken as confirmation that you have satisfied yourself as to compatibility and suitability, and the price is set on the understanding that sales are final.
By completing a purchase, you expressly request that delivery of the digital content begin immediately, you acknowledge that performance begins immediately, and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you expressly acknowledge that you thereby lose any right of withdrawal, cooling-off period or cancellation right that would otherwise apply to the supply of digital content not delivered on a tangible medium.
For the avoidance of doubt, and without limiting section 1, no refund is available where:
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy conferred on you by consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement. Where such a right applies to you and cannot be waived, it operates in addition to this Policy and prevails over it to the extent of any inconsistency.
Accordingly, where applicable law requires a remedy in respect of digital content that is materially defective, that does not conform to its description, or that I am unable to make function on a supported configuration, that remedy will be honoured. In such a case I may, at my discretion and where permitted, first attempt to resolve the defect by correction or replacement within a reasonable time before any other remedy is considered. Any refund granted on this basis is limited to the amount actually paid, is made to the original payment method, and is conditional on the associated licence key being permanently invalidated and all copies of the Software being removed.
A discretionary resolution offered in a particular case, including a duplicate-purchase correction, is made without admission of liability and does not vary this Policy or create a precedent or entitlement in any other case.
Support is available for the life of the product. If a key does not arrive, arrives at the wrong address, or cannot be located, it will be re-sent following reasonable verification of ownership. If a Mac is replaced, sold, lost or reset, an activation can be released and reassigned through the secure management facility associated with the checkout email. If the Software will not run on a supported machine, I will work with you to resolve it.
Please write to me before taking any other step. Most difficulties that prompt a refund request are resolved the same day.
If you believe there is a problem with a purchase, contact me first. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute in respect of a delivered licence, without having first contacted me and allowed a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter, constitutes a material breach of the Terms of Service and entitles me to invalidate the associated key and terminate the Licence immediately, without prejudice to any other remedy.
Where a chargeback is raised, I may submit records of the transaction, of delivery of the key, and of the acceptance of these terms to the payment processor and the card issuer as evidence in the dispute.
This Policy may be amended by publication of a revised version bearing a new effective date. The version in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
