Training notes with receipts

GrappleOS began as a local dashboard for answering questions that memory handles badly: which positions repeatedly lead to trouble, which submissions are improving, how often a training partner appears in the notes, and whether an apparent trend survives a look at the actual sessions.

The prototype visualises session totals, submissions, positions, partners, injuries, and trends. Filters narrow the view so a period or training context can be examined without losing the underlying entries.

  • Session and sparring summaries.
  • Submission and position breakdowns.
  • Partner, injury, and time filters.
  • Charts rendered locally with data stored in the browser.

Why a local prototype came first

Personal training notes are enough to test whether the visual questions are useful before building accounts, syncing, gym features, or a public data model. The local dashboard keeps that experiment inspectable and avoids implying a service exists before its core workflow has earned it.

It also exposes the hard part: the quality of any chart depends on consistent notes. A dashboard cannot recover details that were never recorded or turn a subjective training impression into a clinical measurement.

A launch list is not a release

The shelf shows GrappleOS with a launch list because the personal prototype has not been productised into a supported public application. The screenshots demonstrate the working local direction, not an account someone can sign into today.

The number of people waiting will help decide whether the next work should be import tools, a simpler logging flow, deeper analysis, or whether the personal dashboard should remain personal.

Current limits

  • There is no supported public product or account system yet.
  • Charts are only as reliable as the training notes entered.
  • Injury fields are records, not medical advice or diagnosis.
